Fall Book Discussions

Tom Peters will host book discussions this fall covering four of the titles that were included in the "Created Equal" Bookshelf Grant collection. These will be held in th OPAL auditorium on the following dates: Grades K-3rd: Pink and Say by Patricia Polacco on Wed. Oct 22nd at 10:00 a.m. Central Time Grades 4-6: Lyddie by Katherine Paterson on Thurs. Oct. 9th at 10:00 a.m. Central Time Grades 7 & 8: Breaking Through by Francisco Jiménez on Wed. Nov. 12th at 10:00 a.m. Central Time Grades 9-12: Amistad: A Novel by David Pesci on Tues. Producing Great Podcasts

Alliance Library System is offering a free certificate program to member libraries on producing great podcasts. Funding is provided through the Illinois State Library with LSTA funds. This is a hands-on live online workshop which takes place in three sessions over a two-week period. This workshop is open to all special and academic libraries.
